The Frills Myspace Bio
The Frills coalesced mid-fall of 2007 after guitarist/vocalist Lauren left The Capables. Upon discovering Meagan’s interest in joining her on bass, the two embarked upon a semester of writing, practicing, and playing open-mic nights. April 2008 brought their debut performance at the UMass Queerfest, where they played 6 original songs. After a summer of writing and practicing, they played two benefit shows for Food Not Bombs in Fall 2008, and Queerfest in Spring 2009, with sets largely comprised of new material. The Frills recorded their first studio demo in August 2009.
