Swine Flu Telethon

JESSE PUTNAM

Waltzing through the dorms last spring, Sweet Baby Lou was fortunate enough to stumble across talented singer Jesse Putnam while casing the halls of Orchard Hill for loose change. Putnam was then involved in a now defunct acoustic ensemble, The Do-Do Crabs, however talks about a show appearance soon fell through.

Needless to say Lou was not amused and went on to elaborately arranged Putnam’s kidnapping and eventual on-air performance at gun-point. However since then Putnam agreed to reconvene with WMUA and play a show under more favorable conditions.

Joining the reverends for their 1st Annual Swine Flu telethon, Putnam played a series of interesting selections from bands like Sufjan Stevens and The Weakerthans, even ending with Nirvana’s classic “All Apologies.”
