Sweet Baby Lou dreamt sweet dreams last week, in special thanks to the blanket of sound that was produced by in-studio guests Sore Eros. The three-piece band made their Sweet Baby Lou debut with an impromptu jam “Sore Eros on the Radio” and quickly transitioned to the band’s traditional material, most of it drawn from last year’s release “Second Chants.”
Sore Eros, led by singer-songwriter Robert Robinson and featuring a troupe of talented multi-instrumentalists, creates layered pastoral sounds reminiscent of dreamscapes. Using xylophones, tablas (“a recent craigslist purchase”) along with traditional rock instruments (bass, guitar) this set by Sore Eros is sure to set the bed-time mood. For sleeping that is.
