Going to the Moon




It is a little known fact but last November Sweet Baby Lou became the first WMUA affiliated radio program to go to the moon. At least auditor-ily (word check?) Regardless in space there is no grammar as evidenced by our stellar call-in guest, The Moondoggies who talked about their new album and the growing success of the Northwest rock scene that has been shooting out superstars (Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes) for the last year.

Kevin Murphy, dishes on the band’s formation, future and even on one wacky story involving a runaway crow which beleaguered the band.

Their latest release “Don’t Be a Stranger” which was released last year, caught our eye in the stacks and later with its stellar jams “Ol’ Blackbird” and “Changing.”
